As members of the National Trust for Scotland Dumfries and Galloway Countryside Team, we manage properties across Dumfries and Galloway, including Threave Estate and Nature Reserve; Rockcliffe Property; Venniehill; The Murray's Isles and Bruce's Stone. Our task is to conserve and maintain the variety of habitats and species present, at the same time managing the sites for the education and enjoyment of current and future generations.

Duke of Edinburgh GOLD award

The National Trust for Scotland has a partnership with the Abernethy – Barcaple Centre in Ringford. Last week 10 teenagers, one member of staff and a local lad from Rockcliffe all doing their Duke of Edinburgh Gold award. As part of their voluntary service they came and helped us build/top up some of our most used paths in Rockcliffe for a day.
 
250m of path got laid!
 
It was a really enjoyable day and fun was had by all!
